Some Many Gods West news for you!
Hotel rentals for The Governor Hotel, where Many Gods West will be hosted, are open. The initial block is 50 rooms, and the conference rate can be secured by mentioning that you are registering to attend Many Gods West.
We made an initial error that we need to clarify. The hotel rental rate is $119/night. We reported this as $109/night. Sorry that this may have caused some confusion.
Early Registration for the conference opened on February 1st and we have been rather excited by the very high interest just in the first five days! We certainly thought there’d be significant excitement for a conference of this sort, but have found this conference will be much larger than initially anticipated.
This is a very, very good thing!
As a reminder, early registration is $30 for the weekend and closes March 31st. After this, registration will cost $40 until May 30th, and late registration is $50.
Proposals for Presentations Deadline Extended.
Because of the significant early registration rate, we are looking into renting extra space for presentations. That is, rather than 2 presentations during a time slot, we may expand this to three.
Because of this, we are extending the deadline for proposals to March 31st, rather than March 1st.
Final decisions on presentations will be made April 6th and folks can expect to hear from us by the April 10th. We will know by then, as well, whether we are able to add presentation slots, in which case there’d be 50% more programming for the weekend.
Many Gods West at Pantheacon
The three organizers of Many Gods West will be at Pantheacon next weekend, and all three of us will be presenting at various times during the weekend.
Niki Whiting and Rhyd Wildermuth will both be part of the Patheos Pagan panel on Friday at 1.30pm (The Good, The Bad, & The Blogging).
And Rhyd Wildermuth will be co-presenting Gods and Radicals: Anti-Capitalist Resistance and Pagan Practice with Alley Valkyrie on Saturday at 11am.
We’ll have fliers for Many Gods West for distribution and will be happy to answer any questions folks might have!
And the keynote speaker for Many Gods West, Morpheus Ravenna, has a very full schedule of appearances which can be found here.
